PAGASA warns the public of the possibility of hoisting TCWS No. 4 as Tino continues to pass through the country.

The northeast monsoon is also likely to affect Tino and bring strong to gale-force winds over areas currently not under TCWS warnings, particularly those located in coastal and upland areas. Today, these areas are Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Ilocos Norte, Aurora, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Bataan, Metro Manila, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, and Bicol Region.

Storm surge of up to more than three meters is possible within the next 48 hours in the coastal communities of Sorsogon, Masbate, Romblon, Oriental Mindoro, Occidental Mindoro, Palawan, Visayas, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, Agusan del Norte, Misamis Oriental, and Camiguin.

Based on the track forecast of PAGASA, Tino may make its first landfall at the southern portion of Eastern Samar, Leyte, Southern Leyte, or Dinagat Islands tonight or early morning of tomorrow, November 4.

PAGASA said that it is possible for Tino to reach super typhoon category, as they foresee rapid intensification within the next 24 hours.
