NINE Filipino restaurants received the prestigious Michelin Stars in the inaugural Michelin Guide Ceremony: Manila and Environs & Cebu 2026 held at the Manila Marriott Hotel on October 30.
This is the first time the country is recognized and this further cements the Philippines as one of the gastronomic hubs in the world.
Here is the complete list of the 108 establishments recognized in the Michelin Guide 2026 across the Philippines:
2 Michelin Star rating
Described to have excellent cooking and is worth a detour is Helm by Filipino-Bristish chef Josh Boutwood, a fine dining restaurant located in Ayala Triangle, Makati City.
The Michelin website describes the menu of Helm as a “personal expression of [Boutwood’s] half-British, half-Filipino heritage, infused with Spanish influences.” It further describes the taste of the menu as modern that is “intimate, precise and profoundly expressive” with each course “a reflection of craftsmanship, identity and culinary evolution.”

Eight restaurants receive one Michelin Star for their high quality cooking, with each representing a wide range of influences not only within the Philippines but also overseas.
According to the Michelin website, the common thread among these eight restaurants are their “precision, creativity and respect for ingredients.”
The recipients are Asador Alfonso in Cavite, Celera, Hapag, Inatô, Kasa Palma, and Toyo Eatery in Makati City, Linamnam in Parañaque City, and Gallery by Chele in Taguig City.
Michelin Green Star
Gallery by Chele received another recognition from the Michelin Guide, this time the Michelin Green Star. This is given to restaurants which promote “sustainable and mindful gastronomy.”
The Michelin website states that the Green Star “encourages collaboration, innovation and continuous progress toward a more responsible future for dining.”
Gallery by Chele is specifically acknowledged for its “strong farm-to-table ethos and commitment to biodiversity, waste reduction and community sourcing.”
Michelin Bib Gourmand
25 restaurants, meanwhile, received Michelin Bib Gourmand, a recognition given for having exceptional food at a moderate price. Of the 25 restaurants, 19 are based in Metro Manila, while six are in Cebu.
According to the Michelin Guide, each of the restaurants “reflects the diversity and depth of everyday dining in the Philippines, where value, flavor and soul go hand in hand.”

Michelin Guide Special awards
Besides restaurants, individuals were also recognized during the Michelin Guide ceremony for their “dedication, creativity and passion” to the culinary industry that elevates patrons’ dining experience.
The Young Chef Award was given to Linamnam’s Don Patrick Baldosano for “transforming Filipino ingredients and traditions into inventive dishes that celebrate regional diversity.” He is 27 years old.
Hapag’s Erin Recto received the Service Award for reflecting “the essence of Filipino service.”
While the Exceptional Cocktails Award is given to Benjamin Leal from Uma Nota for “crafting inventive, globally inspired cocktails that bring fresh energy and local flavor to the bar.”
