ABS-CBN Kapamilya Channel to air on ALLTV

Share:

STARTING January 2, 2026, ABS-CBN Corp. will air the Kapamilya Channel on ALLTV under a licensing agreement with Manuel Villar Jr.’s Advanced Media Broadcasting System Inc. (AMBS).

The Lopez-led media firm disclosed the deal to the Philippine Stock Exchange following the termination of its partnership with TV5 Network Inc. after a revenue-sharing dispute. ABS-CBN said it accepted TV5’s notice of termination and will settle outstanding obligations with TV5 and Mediaquest Holdings Inc.

The agreement marks a major shift in the Philippine media landscape, as AMBS operates Channel 2, the frequency formerly held by ABS-CBN before it lost its congressional franchise in 2020.

Since then, ABS-CBN has functioned as a content provider across multiple platforms. The new deal strengthens its presence on its former broadcast frequency.

AMBS has carried selected ABS-CBN programs since 2024, including Jeepney TV shows, TV Patrol, and It’s Showtime. Under the expanded agreement, ALLTV will air prime-time series such as FPJ’s Batang Quiapo and variety programs including ASAP.

ABS-CBN said its programs will remain available on other platforms, with prime shows continuing on A2Z, while It’s Showtime and Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab 2.0 will continue airing on GMA Network Inc.
