ALMOST half of the 11,420 examinees of the 2025 bar examinations passed, result revealed on Wednesday.
According to Bar chairperson Associate Justice Amy Lazaro-Javier, out of the 11,420 examinees, 5,594 or 48.98% passed.
This is higher than the 3,962 passers from 2024.
Lazaro-Javier said that the Supreme Court retained the 2024 passing grade of 75%.
The topnotcher for this year was from the University of the Philippines, Jhenroniel Rhey Timola Sanchez, who scored 92.70%.
In the Top 10 were his fellow Iskas, Marie Shantelle Atienza Sarmiento who got 90.87% (Top 8) and Jusmin Teriann Afable Yap with 90.36 (Top 10).
Meanwhile, University of Santo Tomas graduates dominated the Top 10 with four high passers — Top 2, Spinel Albert Allauigan Declaro (92.46%); Top 3, Alaiza Agatep Adviento (91.91%); Top 5, Marc Angelo Galvez Santos (91.58%); and Top 7, Johan Raphael Silapan Gata (90.90%).
